Dr. Amanda Coddington, D.C, L.Ac, completed her graduate studies at Southern California University of Health Sciences in an intensive dual program to receive her Doctorate in Chiropractic (D.C.) and a Master’s in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAOM). A dean’s list graduate for both degrees, she is highly skilled in the combination of chiropractic and acupuncture and is constantly inspired by the positive results this powerful combination can achieve.

Her personal mission is to help inspire positive changes in her patients lifestyle. She sees a patient as a whole person, taking a great deal of time and care in getting to know them, their conditions and personal goals, and she tailors every treatment to suit each individual. Chiropractic care at Rx Bodyworks is designed to help regain motion throughout the body, not just the spine. There is more to a joint than just the bone; therefore, a great deal of detail is also placed on the soft tissue structures surrounding the bone. Spinal adjustments are a core treatment in chiropractic care to help alleviate musculoskeletal imbalances and improve pain free range of motion.

Acupuncture is a 3,000-year-old healing technique of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) performed with very thin needles inserted into the body. Clinical studies on the benefits of acupuncture show it successfully treats conditions ranging from musculoskeletal problems (neck pain, back pain & others) to nausea, migraine headache, anxiety, depression, insomnia and infertility.

This is a combination of all treatments. Generally you will receive acupuncture first, followed by ART, traction (if needed) and chiropractic adjustments at the end. This is the most popular full bodywork option at the office.

Active Release Technique (ART) treats your body's soft tissue by combining manipulation and particular movements. It is a patented, state of the art soft tissue system/movement based massage technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, nerves and fascia.
